About Me

Like many others, I was born at an early age. From the start, people had a difficult time understanding what I said, but that didn't keep them from nodding their heads and smiling at me. Not much has changed.

I studied music at the Munich Conservatory of Art in Germany, Oklahoma Baptist University and the University of New Mexico. Not long afterwards, LORD label in Germany released my first vinyl album. Sadly, the starving artist had to get a job, and it was years later that I released a second project under Tate label in Oklahoma.

In between these projects, I did my best to run far away from God. Instead of conquering the world, I lost my home, family, income, and laughter. This loss turned into the greatest gain. I knew I needed a new beginning, and God, in His Ridiculous Mercy, opened my eyes to see that Jesus did the one thing I could never do. Through His blood, I am today in right standing before God.

I am speaker and singer / songwriter who is drawn to the church, the Bride of Christ, both in the pew and outside the steeple. God combined my love for music with a love to share with congregations that He still uses broken lives. His Ridiculous Mercy reached my broken life and gave me a life worth living. None of us are special. He will do the same for you.

A Little History

The pile of scrap wood in the back of my wood shop had outgrown the storage box and laid in piles on the floor.Guess it’s high time to cart this off to the burn-barrel. Large slabs. Small slabs. Piece by piece I tossed them into the wheelbarrow, my eyes never once focused on the wormholes, scrapes, rips and tears of these useless scraps of wood - but my mind did.

I stopped dead in my tracks as I turned a piece over and over in my hands. Staring at this rotten, torn up wood I saw a mirror image of my life. The wormholes of bitterness. The rips where life had torn me apart. The wounds marked by unhealed scars. This brokenness has a certain beauty to it. Maybe this piece isn’t as worthless as I thought.

Abandoning the cart, I spent the next few hours cleaning, sanding, and leveling that piece of scrap wood. Then I filled all the holes and gouges with colored epoxy. Once the surface had set, I assembled the legs and polished the finished piece – a beautiful, useful end table.

That’s when it hit me! How similar is this process to how God, through Jesus, rescued my life? He removed my rottenness (sin), brought healing, and filled my broken life with His Spirit. A ridiculous act of love. Such Ridiculous Mercy.

That tabletop became the inspiration for a message of God’s Ridiculous Mercy. He redeems and uses flawed people in the Bible as well as today.

What We Believe

Our belief is founded in the Bible, both Old and New Testaments. We believe the Bible to be uniquely God-inspired, without error, and the final authority on all matters on which it speaks.

There is only one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit -each possessing all the attributes of deity.

Jesus Christ is true God, was united with a true human nature, and miraculously born of the virgin Mary by the power of God. He perfectly fulfilled the law and died upon the cross for the salvation of sinners. He rose from the grave, ascended to Heaven, where at the right hand of the Father, He intercedes for His people. He will return to earth to bring God's eternal plan to completion.

The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ, gives understanding of the Word of God and produces personal growth in believers.

God created humans in His likeness to have fellowship with Him, but through sin we have been separated from God. Jesus Christ, through His death and resurrection, has accomplished salvation for all who trust in Him alone. We did not and can not contribute to our own salvation -Jesus Christ did it all!

Cultural Christianity can be a detriment to the body of Christ. Faith that is applicable in Indiana must be just as applicable in India, in New Mexico as in Mexico, or in Georgia (USA) as in Georgia (Russia).

Everyone will one day stand before God. The unbeliever will be judged and cast into outer darkness. The believer will enjoy eternal fellowship with God.
